Kelly, my bestest friend in the whole entire universe presented this wee little tyke from her loins on Sunday, May 29th.
Nicholas David Heide weighed in at 7lbs, 1oz.
He is absolutely awesome.
He was also early, which means I have to get cracking on the skull and crossbones baby sweater from Stitch 'N Bitch Nation. I just ordered some 100% merino today, so hopefully it comes with much efficiency.

I decided to start riding my bike to work because gas is entirely too expensive, and today was my maiden voyage. I had guesstimated (as evidenced here) that it was about 2.5 miles from my front door to work.
Man, did I ever underestimate.
After making the trip this morning, I knew I was wrong. I wasn't winded, which was good (and surprising), but my legs were like jelly. Clearly, I had made a miscalculation somewhere. Divide by 17, carry the one, round off the remainder. OK, I really just referenced Google Maps.
Sure enough, it is 4.2 miles from Belmont to Peterson, on a straight shot up Western.
Regardless, it felt great and I feel like an idiot for ever driving to work.
