Patrick and I have spent the last week planning an elaborate birthday surprise for my sister. We wanted to get her tickets to the Cubs game on the first (her birthday) against the Braves, and that is so totally simple. No one ever wants Cubs tickets. Especially against the Braves. In the last series of the regular season.
So we went through craigslist, eBay, family, friends, friend of friends, friends of friends whom we consider enemies, etc. We finally bought some from my uncle's brother in law.
And then I am talking to Brianne tonight and we are cracking up because she sent both Patrick and I an email saying that she wouldn't be able to get Oct. 1st off for "the big surprise". If you scrolled down the email, it said "Psyche'. And she totally tricked Patrick. He bought it and was freaking out. He didn't scroll. And so I go to tell her how Gregg teased me and told me I couldn't have Friday off because he knew I was planning for it all week. Ha Ha. So funny. And I say to her:
"So I told Gregg I would need Friday off for THE CUBS GAME....."

"FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. Patrick I fucked up!!!!!!"
And I totally ruined the super surprise. But it wasn't so bad because Patrick did the exact same thing with Brianne's surprise Christmas present, telling her how he told his dad he got her diamond earrings.
Still, I feel like an ass.
