We have been without cable since August 1st. When we moved into the new place, I decided I was going to consolidate all of our utiities, find out what we REALLY needed, and if there was any less expensive alternatives. So, of course, Comcast was the first to go. $58 a month for standard digital cable was not flying with me. So we decided to go with Dish network for the low low price of $29.99 a month. But they too were a bunch of fuckers and wanted to install TWO honker dishes on our house. No thanks.
So I finally caved and went back to Comcast, much to my dismay. I haven't watched Law & Order in about 3 weeks, and it was beginning to kill me. You could say I am something of a Law & Order junkie. So I finally get a chance to relax and watch some tv yesterday. Law & Order (original flavor) is on TNT. Turn it on. Black screen. "One Moment. This channel will be available shortly" Damn. And hour or so goes by while I am watching Family Fued (again, original flavor with Richard Dawson). SVU is on USA. Turn it on. It is all gobbledy-gook.
Law & Order is not available on my cable plan apparently.
Fortunately, they have a line tech coming out this morning to fix it. And it's a good thing. I might not last a week.
